Well, I've been playing since about noon today and this is all I have to say:
Regardless of what anyone says, anything you hear, whatever! Final Fantasy XIII is a beautiful game, a demonstration of the evolution of video games, a meaningful story and honestly, in my opinion, it belongs in your game collection. I've just been reading and hearing lots of criticism and truthfully, it's mostly just complete misinterpretation. Final Fantasy XIII was not designed as some kind of super explosive revolution of the video game industry, as some are saying it doesn't accomplish. It is what it is, Final Fantasy XIII. If you go right now and try out the game with the expectation of a great game, you will be blown out of your house when your television explodes in amazement. If you check out the game with the wrong idea, as too many gaming communities and critics are giving out, it may seem less than perfect.
Basically, I just want to say that yes, Final Fantasy XIII is not exactly similar to the others of its series but as well, it is a fantastic Japanese Role-Playing Game that would be a shame to miss. So what do you have to lose? If you have either console, preferably the Playstation 3, I personally recommend that you go out and check out Final Fantasy XIII. You don't want to miss a beautiful demonstration of how far the gaming industry has come. Don't listen to anyone, this is a game that you need to check out yourself.
